This is starting to look like vintage Nats. Guy coming back way early from injury, sending lots of pitches high, and we're getting shutout and the Nats pitcher can't seem to match.

The Nats' batting average of .230 ranks 28th in MLB, better than only the Mets and Marlins.

We fail again.  Runner on 2nd with one out and he's stranded there.

Fair but I just think for some reason he can hold his own.

Still, have to get the pitcher out there. You're getting paid money to kick some ass and kicking some ass includes sitting down a pitcher with two outs and a runner on third.

Why do all of our weak powerless hitters insist on constantly popping the ball up in the air? These donks should be hitting the ball on the ground every AB. I don't understand their uppercut swings. Bad coaching. Thanks Rick.

Agreed. He has to pitch freaking better. This crap is not good enough. We are blowing several opportunities where we could be gaining serious ground on the Braves because they are in a big tailspin.

Braves playing their worst baseball of the year and we are still 1 game behind. Nats should have taken advantage and built a 2-3 game lead. The Braves are streaky so it is very likely that they will start to catch fire again soon.

0-2 count. Ross throws, yes you guessed it, a fastball right on the inner half.

It's not a fluke. This is 5 starts in a row where teams have completely teed off on Detwiler. The league has gotten the "book" on him. He isn't surprising anyone with his fastball approach anymore.
