definitely. I looked at some of the pitching matchups and there is no excuse for us not to take at least 3.

It starts with the "ace" tomorrow. Needs to set the tone for the series and shut them down.

It's gonna be hot outside. Don't count on much.

Padres gave the Orioles the business these last two days, including a come from behind 9th inning win and they just shat on their pitching today. I'm not expecting much this weekend.

Burch Smith pitching for San Diego on Friday has an ERA of 54.00   He'll probably pitch a 3-hit shutout...

Who names their kid Burch?

Can Sir Alex Ferguson manage this team?

Why would he want to?

The team blows. They follow the D.C. model of no mental toughness and squeak by because apparently they can't be bothered to do much else.

They'll probably do their best Capitals impression in September/October. Can't wait.

I'm sure Greinke will get hammered in his next start.

I was thinking the 132-pitch outing from Kershaw, softened him up for his next start.  Too bad we aren't the team to get it.

Braves will most likely face Kershaw on Sunday.

Again, expectations have just destroyed these guys' love of baseball it seems. Last year they were hungry and had a massive chip on their shoulder. Winning was new for most of the veterans on the team and it made for a lot of fun baseball. This team just tries too hard to replicate last season every day instead of just playing.

They need a big, come-from-behind win to turn this, I think. They need something to feel good about. How many teams don't have a walk-off win yet? We don't. We don't even have a come-from-behind win in the 9th on the road. There hasn't been one exciting win, really. No defining moments yet. most of the wins have been boring and matter of fact. Every single time there is a potential turning point in a game, we fail to come through. Every darn time. Look at the faces in the dugout late in games. They are all praying someone will come through, they don't look like they think they can win, though.

so what it boils down to is...we need Will Nieves.

I didn't watch, why was Detwiler pulled after 3? Just didn't have it or injury?
