They could beat or at least compete with every top 5 team, in my opinion.

I definitely agree with this.

But which teams (currently ranked ahead of them) would you demote in order to have them be seen considered a top 5 team now (not down the road but today since the game was played today)?

Indiana's defense is ranked 106 out of 123 teams but they managed to win by 20 points today.  :lmao:

Oh, I don't think they should leapfrong anyone. I think they're a top 5 team in college football, even if they'll sit at #6-#7 most of the year.

Kind of moot, if they beat Clemson, they'll be in the top five, if not, they'll have to hope Miami and/or Florida climb in the rankings in order to get a shot at top 5. If the winner of Florida State Clemson runs the table and the loser wins out too, I think the ACC could actually send a team to the BCS championship. The computers are going to hate Ohio State's schedule- no chance for a win against a top 10 team

There's a lot of hype surrounding the OSU/Northewestern game but I don't see it. OSU should roll them by double digits (but secretly I'd like to see Northwestern upset them ).

You may very well get your wish...

I've been a Wildcat supporter my entire life...grew up nearby.

The 'Cats should have won the '95 Rose Bowl, and if not for Gary Barnett they may have.

I completely agree that they should've won but I don't recall what Barnett did to cost them. I do remember the dagger fumble returned for a TD.

Bonehead calls...like the 2 point conversion attempt that failed and left them 2 scores down in the 4th quarter.  The kiss of death...

I was at the game with my father, and recall using Barnett's name in vain for the bulk of the 60 minutes.

Saw my first game at Dyche Stadium in the early '60's.  Northwestern's big guns at that time was Paul Flattley...one helluva receiver who went on to the NFL for a number of years...and QB Tommy Meyers who played a couple of years in the NFL himself.

That's right. He was trying to make up for the extra point the kicker had missed but it ended up biting them in the ass.

The wildcat offense looks decent. I'm a little shock at how well their defense is playing so far.

There was no way that was conclusive but it's one of college football's pet teams.

I'm curious as to how or why Ohio St gets so many seats for their fans in Northwestern's home stadium. I've never seen a visiting team have almost half of the stadium's seats. Does Northwestern struggle to fill up their stadium?

Also, freak Kirk Herbstreet. I always thought he was fair.

You win 28 of the last 29 games against someone and you can get butthurt pretty easily when they take it to you.

Great scoring drive by the 'Cats...

In honor of the OSU @ NW game I offer this awesome video of my cousin, a UofM grad and die hard.  Don't ask me why he was at that game wearing maize and blue.  Just appreciate an absolutely hilarious video of him getting speared.  If you watch closely near the end he gets his in the face by a flying projectile.  Awesomeness in a video:

Anyone else watching College Gameday?  What is wrong with Hope Solo?  See seems/sounds like she is on something.  Maybe it is just a speech impediment but it is weird.

Wow!! Maryland won a game they didn't deserve to win. By rights though, VA had no business keeping it close. Much credit to VA for playing some tough football.
