Considering there are other people who have said he didn't want to trade up to get Griffin, no.

Griffin is nothing like any QB Shanahan has ever drafted. He gets quiet guys who aren't as obviously good as everyone else and thus, have to rely on his system. Griese, Plummer, Grossman, Beck, ect. Tannehill fits that to a T. A young, raw guy who clearly needs help adjusting to the NFL game.
