That was a new low.
Yes because thats what we need. More overpaid players who under produce. It took him three seasons to learn how to stop rushing upfield ten yards.
He only had 28.5 sacks his first three season. If only he knew how to rush the passer.
Too bad it took him three seasons to figure it out.He belongs in a 4-3 defense as an end. He's gone.
no first round pick makes getting an edge rusher difficult (especially when you need corner backs, most of an O line, a D line, a number 1 receiver, an inside line backer, safeties...) Use some of the cap money to franchise him (one year at an insane salary is better than multiple years at a high salary)- it's a one year hit, and, barring insanity, they should look to spend the whole windfall in one offseason
Perhaps. I'm extremely suspicious of a guy who suddently started producing in the last 4 weeks. Two of his sacks came off of Haslett moving him to the strong side with Kerrigan and using him as a blitzer. Two others came last night when suddenly developed an inside move, or at least, stopped running 10 yards upfield to try and get to the QB. Personally, I think he realizes that it's a contract year and he needs to produce like he's been toutted in order to get paid like an elite pass rusher.
if they move the sticks by mistake, what happens if the coach asks for a measurement?
Shanahan said he did ask for a measurment. If I'm not mistaken, if it's that close, they are supposed to measure it, stopping the clock to do so. I can't swear to that though. I don't think we'd have scored or anything anyways, but damn, how do you mess that up. Hell, the ref that was yelling that it was third down could have blown the play dead asap and got everything square. Better that than the mess that they ended up with.
I think it's safe to assume Tripplette won be referring either the super bowl or conference championships, short of that, it's not fireable
Tony Dungy's opinion of Dan Snyder? "I would not want to work for him"http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/tony-dungy-s-opinion-of-dan-snyder-i-would-not-want-to-work-for-him-120513
Pretty sure he had 11 sacks as a rookie.
pretty sure they were playing a 4-3 then
While that is true, he played linebacker. that's the position he was drafted to play.
In the 4-3? I'm almost certain he was lined up at DE with Andre Carter on the other side and Fat Al in the middle. Can't remember who the other DT was. Philip Daniels maybe?
It wasn't long before coaches decided they could do even more with him. With seven games still remaining in the season, Orakpo has made the adjustment -- playing both strong-side linebacker and defensive end for Washington -- and has exceeded many of the expectations around Redskins Park.
perfect, I don't want Dungy to coach here
I'm attending my first Redskins game ever today. What should I know about taking the metro to Morgan Blvd and walking to the stadium?
