No one in particular but he says he was a Bears fan at one point. I dogged him for being an jerk troll when he admitted that he didn't really watch the NFL and only recently started to watch games. He just hates the Redskins because of the coverage they get in our area. I told him that's how a lot of NFL cities are like. But another reason he hates the Redskins is because of Rex Grossman. The fool bet a bundle on the Bears to beat the Colts in the SB a few years ago and he blames Grossman for his loss.  :lmao:

Still hoping Rex doesn't make the last cut

I don't see how he doesn't considering the questionable health of Griffin and Cousins.

We already have two developing QBs. Don't need a third in Pat White. Grossman will remain third string.

Yes. Grossman is a sure thing in comparison to White. A sure thing in that it is sure that he sucks.

We have Griffen partly thanks to Rex's ineptitude two years ago- white may be bad,  but grossman's pretty spirals have a tendency to go to DBs

One of the Bills' DB's dropped an easy pick last night. Another thing I hate about Grossman is that after all these years his mentality hasn't changed. He still wants to throw the ball deep on just about every play.

if white was a threat with his arm, I'd be happy having him as our 3rd QB but I feel Grossman is the better overall choice hot a #3 QB.

Orakpo is a nice player but until he learns some counter moves, he'll be secod fiddle to Kerrigan who is the better all round player. That said, Orakpo seemed to get held more than any redskins player I can ever remember seeing. He has elite athleticism just needs refined. How much longer do we wait?

Kenny Phillips was cut, any interest in the 26 year old safety?

He's a FA after the season so this season is huge for him.

He can be up and down. I thought he was going to be good coming out of Miami but he has not lived up to expectation. While he can make flashy plays from time to time he can also get burned badly. I guess it will all depend on Merriweather's availability.

Rex's arm is just as much of a threat to score for the other team

Wait for what?

He's a Pro Bowler who is a good pass rusher that can play OLB in the 3-4 and is excellent with his hand in the ground. He isn't James Harrison but he is a good player.

It's amazing how Rak has gone from being overrated to underrated by this fan base.

Brian Orakpo is a my favoritest player ever, so no talking crap about him.

Oh, it's so on. OhLackPo is meh

He's not a pro bowler. He was once a pro bowler, but he hasn't been one in 2 seasons. On top of that, he's a good pass rusher and nothing more. He's not a good linebacker. He doesn't play the run very well. He's awful in coverage. He is a pass rusher and would probably be better served being a 4-3 defensive end.

Nah, I just think that those that vastly overrated him have tempered their expectations. He's a good player but not an all pro... Yet. Time is running thin though at least as a Redskin.

Depending on the $$ I'd give Phillips a call. Insurance.

Think he'll be re-signed?

I think he should be resigned at some point. But it's irregular to cut players who are out for the season. Crawford may consider this an insult and opt to sign somewhere else when he's healthy or it's also possible he made an agreement with Washington to come back next season. This is probably the result of having no salary cap flexibility due to the penalty levied by the NFL. Players on IR count against the cap so they can't afford to carry fringe players. They placed Thomas and Robinson on IR. Robinson is a player they highly value and Thomas was drafted so they have to pay his salary this year anyway so this way they get to hold on to his rights. This could also mean the Redskins don't believe Crawford is worth accommodating by paying him to sit on IR all season.

They'll IR him. They have to waive him first because he's a non vested player(something to do with his draft status/years spent in the league I believe).

That makes sense. I guess this means other teams can claim him but if he clears waivers the Redskins will retain his rights and as you pointed out he can go on IR.
