Balls fly further, of course, in the warmer and more humid temperatures as we enter summer.

But much easier for a pitcher to warm up and stay warm, too.  They should be throwing free and easy.  And there's nothing hot about tonight in Pittsburgh.

It's humid which is worse than the heat.

I think having Ian Desmond and the current incarnation of Danny Espinosa in the lineup regularly is the problem.  Bunting, not so much.

Why don't you just go to a local bar that's showing the game?

well they advertised every game live, not on slight delay. not acceptable

When does Davey/Rizzo face the numbers on espinosa?

(Or...how long can they keep a .180 hitter in tghe lineup?)

They probably need to compensate for the coriolis effect

Once again, LaRoche isn't getting anything to hit with Danny on deck.

League average HR/9
Jackson HR/9

That doesn't really contradict anything he's said, and even if it did it's not like it'd matter.  Move on with your life man.

There are actually quite a few qualifying batters with lower BA than Espinosa and that's surprising.

They've  seem to be "laboring" a lot now that the temperatures are starting to rise.

I don't know that I buy into that. If so though, the summer is going to be a nag on them.
