Despite nothing being announced it is certainly likely that the Lerner family knows the starting bid from Angelos, so they can proceed with their 2012 budget knowing that the MASN money will increase by X amount with the expectation that it will rise even further.

Hopefully they're taking into account the loss of revenue sharing in the near distant future.

Revenue sharing was less than 10 million a year (mind fact) any decent bump in tv contract would more than cover whatever Nats stood to lose from meager revenue sharing.

Hopefully they see the ending of revenue sharing as the impetuous to field a competitive team in order to draw in fans and maintain their profit margins as opposed to a reason to cut payroll based on the loss of guaranteed revenue. It could go either way with these guys.

Good point, how much money will each team continue to receive from MLB for the national TV deal and merchandise sales? ~$50-60 million a year?

It's gotta suck to be Adam LaRoche right now. I hope he's got thick skin, especially if we don't get Fielder and need to rely on him in 2012.
