I wonder if his "Albert Angels of Anaheim" will stick?
Boswell in his column.  I just find it funny that the local paper's MLB columnist calls them the low budget Nats.  (major market)

I think the 17 pages of Fielder speculation has now met and maybe even exceeded the "sign Teixeira" thread

The Tex thread had 3.8k replies

By this time in that off-season teams had actually made offers to Teixeira.

According to olney per mlbtr rival execs think we'll be the landing place for fielder. Make it so! He also thinks we are pursuing Marlon Byrd.

Byrd and Fielder should be good enough to push the Nats into the Wild Card.

Though, I have a feeling the Cubs would get someone like Hood in return... and what will help the Nats short term... will probably come back to hurt them in the long term.

Oh God I could see that happening. Hood can't be traded!

does that mean harper doesn't play in the bigs this year?  would morse be moved?

again i think it's one or the other.  either prince fielder or an outfielder.

Can he play center? Because with Werth and Harper he will be a rule five pick before he gets a shot at the big leagues.

Werth or Harper maybe  . I feel like hood might be an Upton lite or something.

I'd like to see Hood get some PT in CF this year.  I know he projects more as a corner bat, but give him a try it'll build his value.  Also Werth/Harper may get some time in CF and be solid, we don't know yet.

All I do know is this would be :az: worthy:

SS Desmond/Lombardozzi
CF Werth
3B Zimmerman
1B Fielder
LF Morse
RF Harper
2B Espinosa
C Ramos

Anybody read this yet?

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/joe_sheehan/12/20/predictions.2012/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_t11_a3

This part, outside of him predicting the Reds winning it all, should get Hammond all hot-and-bothered:

2. B.J. Upton is the next Matt Kemp. The Dodgers' Kemp combined his experience and raw talent to take a huge step forward at age 26, nearly winning the NL MVP award. Tampa Bay's Upton has long shown similar skills -- he just had his second 20/20 season -- but a very high strikeout rate has prevented him from hitting for average and getting on base at high rates. As with Kemp, though, Upton, 27, has years of experience as he reaches his peak, and will take a big step forward next year, cutting his strikeouts, hitting .290 and pushing for the AL MVP award, while getting the Rays to the postseason again.

Was that his official Nats uniform or his Nats feety-pajamas?

I've been told by my sources it's the one with the gold platted binky.

Long time listener, first time caller here.  All the Heyman stuff to me would be Werth.  Zimm plays the role of FotF very well and says all the right things.  Although he did speak out about re-signing Dunn, I don't think he would be hinting about Fielder, although I doubt he would mind having the big slugger here.  More protection for Zimm with Fielder behind him could arguably mean for a better season numbers wise for Zimm, even better than being in front of Dunn.  This is good leverage for him holding off an a big contract extension, which I expect he will give the home team discount since they are building a contender and that is what he always wanted for DC.

Werth has the obvious Boras connections to the FO, and I have to think that the non-tendering of the Rigglemind had in part a lot to do with the not seeing eye to eye with the new FA acquisition who is "changing the perception of the franchise".  I'm very in favor of bringing Fielder here, and given the other suitors this offseason, we probably would spend the most, even though the owners are cheap.  I think Boras will get away with it by dangling a power hitting offense in front of Mark and he badgers his dad until the wallet opens.  The wallet will open because Ted will become tired of Mark whining.

Maybe that's all part of his plan to get out of here?

Those are the guys who would most likely be in the kno.  Werth and ss are boras guys so they could be passing info from him I guess.
