Long time listener, first time caller here. All the Heyman stuff to me would be Werth. Zimm plays the role of FotF very well and says all the right things. Although he did speak out about re-signing Dunn, I don't think he would be hinting about Fielder, although I doubt he would mind having the big slugger here. More protection for Zimm with Fielder behind him could arguably mean for a better season numbers wise for Zimm, even better than being in front of Dunn. This is good leverage for him holding off an a big contract extension, which I expect he will give the home team discount since they are building a contender and that is what he always wanted for DC.
Werth has the obvious Boras connections to the FO, and I have to think that the non-tendering of the Rigglemind had in part a lot to do with the not seeing eye to eye with the new FA acquisition who is "changing the perception of the franchise". I'm very in favor of bringing Fielder here, and given the other suitors this offseason, we probably would spend the most, even though the owners are cheap. I think Boras will get away with it by dangling a power hitting offense in front of Mark and he badgers his dad until the wallet opens. The wallet will open because Ted will become tired of Mark whining.
