I may be a NoVa outlier but what's this have to do with Nats' Park?

it's just across the river, and I believe the Gaylord is where opposing teams stay.

Thanks imref.     I seldom come in contact with that part of PG County.    I thought it may have been a traffic issue.

Interesting.  I've  heard of some staying at the Pentagon City Ritz Carlton, and others at the Mandarin Oriental in DC.

I used to work near the Mandarin and the only baseball person I saw near there (in the circle out front) was Ron Darling.

isn't the gaylord the "official hotel of the washington nationals"?  At least that's where they held NatsFest this year.

They used to, at least, but I don't see as many ball players at CCSP as there used to be, so maybe they've changed the hotel arrangements.  Umps on the other hand still go to CCSP.

Gaylord may have offered a deal to MLB teams, since it probably doesn't get the tourist crowd that other hotels in the DC area get.

Don't cry for the Gaylord.  They are killing on big conventions, there's no hotel in DC nearly as big and able to handle the big crowds.  2000 rooms.

Wow, that's a lot for outside of Vegas.  The new Marriott on the old convention center grounds has 1175 rooms, which I thought was the biggest around.  Omni Shoreham and Wardman Park Marriott have like 2000 between them, with another 1000 and change nearby at the Hinckley Hilton, but that involves going outside for a block or four.

Atrium people probably prefer the sterile indoor habitat at the Gaylord.  Not that I'm bitter about the theft of The Awakening or anything.

The Awakening would have been much better if he had been flipping the bird at someone for waking him up.

We stayed at the Gaylord last year for the Red Bull Flugtag.

Nice place...but noisey corridors...the rowdy's ruined it.
