OK, I'll bite...what's the history?  Does it involve shaved dwarfs and twerking?
Heh, I love that the team is selling a Nats starter jacket at the team store. Only $100. Probably why I've seen so many people wearing one around the park. Not sure they know the history of starter jackets

It was a basketball jacket in the late 80s and early 90s. They were a really hot commodity at the time. I had one back then. Closely associated with the up and coming rap culture of the time (featured a lot in rap videos and such.) I think starter then made a hoodie version for each basketball team that was a lot cheaper so it popularized hoodies. People used to get their starter jackets stolen all the time. Lucky for me I was 5/6 at the time and I had a Heat one which wasn't popular (the Bulls/Lakers/Knicks jackets cost more and stolen often.)

Same style concept remains though - glossy look, name across the front, logo on the arm, color bands at the elbows.

Ah, OK

I lived in Miami off & on for a while back in the 80s and 90s...I had a Heat t-shirt (the old one with the flaming basketball), which was the only one I ever saw around town (that was back when they played in the old Miami Arena in Overtown, when Overtown was still scary).  The only other Heat shirt (shirt, not jersey) I saw until probably 1995 was on some kid in Mozambique

:hysterical: yep that place was a dump back then. Have you been back since? Alot of what you remember being Overtown is gorgeous now (Midtown and Downtown took a lot of new land.) Its not as walkable or visually pretty as downtown DC but definitely a huge upgrade.

Haven't been back in ages, probably not since the late 90s.  Overtown had more squeegie guys per block than any other place on earth back in those days...you'd get like 10 of them at every red light 24/7.  No wonder the German tourists were so fascinated by Miami

Only the bigger fans .... I'd pull the triger on the jersey.

I bought a Bo Porter jersey there for two reasons.  I like Bo, and more importantly, I'm one of the bigger fans (size 50!)

What is size 50 on a jersey?  XL?  XXL?  I have a Wang XXL shirt that goes to my knees and can accommodate three families, which seems appropriate.  Would that be a "size 50"?

It doesn't seem that long.  I'm usually right between XL and XXL for tshirts etc...and it's not a broad shoulder issue!

I guess the length could be a manufacturer thing.  I do know the team issued stuff is modified from regular sizes for the individual player, so if you got team issued jersey for a tall skinny guy, it would be a lot longer than you would expect for the size.

and you know the Nats would charge you full price for a Eddie Gaedel jersey.

I have a couple of size 52 jerseys and I'd say they're on the smaller end of XXL, so I'm guessing a 50 is probably pretty close to XL.

My team issued BP jersey is a 48 and it seems bigger than my authentic (but not team issued) Cool Base alternate road home jersey that is also a 48

How can I print the exchanged tickets from my season plan?

I can see them under my tickets inventory, but there's no option to print, only to sell on stubhub. The seats are different from my regular ones, so I'm sure the plastic season card won't let me in.

Thanks!

Every time I've traded in tickets I've received an email from Nationals "Order Tracking" a few days after the fact that contains a link to the new tickets.  From there I print the PDFs.  Did you get an e-mail confirming your trade in?  That's where you will want to go to access the tickets.

Check this link from JD Land; for me, I like the lot that shows on the map at Half and M streets SW--just west of the 7-Eleven.  Helps to avoid the post game mess at Capitol street.  It shows on the map as $25 but I have paid $20 this year--usually more on weekends and for the better teams so not sure how much tonight.

I've heard that there are water fountains in the ballpark designed especially for filling water bottles. Does anyone know where these are?

I made this avatar in Photoshop by myself. Who else uses it? Brice Harper and I will sue!  :)

Haven't seen that, but the bar on the Red Porch usually keeps a coupla cold water sources available that are suitable for filling up water bottles, just don't loo for them on the bar

Pretty cool tip for those who use Capital Bikeshare; The bike valet will hold on to your bike until a spot opens up in the dock right next to Nats Park. The guy took my cell and sent me a text once it was docked. Of course, I did tip him for this.
