Speaking of...  I had an epiphany today.  I don't know why it took me so long to see this, but I finally understand why Blurger hates Adam Dunn.  More importantly, I understand why he doesn't like Mike Morse (at least not at 1B).  It doesn't have anything to do with Adam Dunn or Mike Morse - it has to do with who can make his hero Ean Desmond look good.  Above-average to good 1B's like LaRoche can hide some of Ean's errors.  Average to below average 1B's like Morse and Dunn cannot.

It's ALL about Desmond.

Not sure why it took me so long to realize this, but I am now convinced that's what it all boils down to.

Not a crazy theory.

New Miami park - http://p.twimg.com/AaTNZ9uCMAApqRy.jpg

I had convinced myself we'd be facing the fish when they opened that place.  Glad we're not.

But I'm just gonna say it: From the outside, it looks like Tropicana with Minute Maid's roof.  Are there any other orange juice companies that can sponsor this thing?

Its sad. Camden Yards is such a good ballpark.

I hope Cal can buy the team from Angelos soon.

Showed all the baseball clinics for kids, Storen at the rehab hospital, the soliders, etc. Great stuff.

Palmer just said "This is such small ballpark, you play deep, afraid of it going over your head."

Can anyone explain that logic?

Interesting.  they've got the Cardinals in for 1 game to open the season then head on the road for 6.  They might do the same thing we did to open Nats Park.

In fact that's exactly what they're going to do - the home opener on 4th April, then a regular 3-match home series against the Cardinals on 25th/26th/27th June. After their home opener they play two 3-match series at Cincinnati and Philadelphia, then have their true inaugural homestand against the Astros and Cubs (both 3-match series).

that is why Rick can't play every day on a good team, gets to 3-1 then hits a DP ball.

Slowes a minute ago estimated 37 (somewhat tongue-in-cheek - 'going from 37,000 rabid fans at Nationals Park to just 37').
