Mike Rizzo just said the org wouldn't make a decision about tonight's game until 7:05 pm.  What a way to freak your fans.

Rapacious bastards!

I'm not a doctor.  I just play one on the Internet.

But, FWIW, if getting caught in the rain caused people to get sick, then we'd be sick every time we took a shower or swam in the pool.

Mostly an old wives tale.  My mother still thinks catching a cold is caused by being outside in cold weather.

Yet he is fine with Peacock pitching on a wet mound or throwing an inning here or there and be delayed?

It's looking more and more like Dibble was a genius after all.

...and the pacific northwest would be unpopulated wilderness.  Though I guess some of it is.

excited to see some kinda combo of peacock and strasburg.  if not tonight, then let them both start the games tomorrow?

i think it'll work itself out.  nobody can be mad at the lerners/nats/etc for their decision, because WEATHER IS OUT OF THEIR HANDS.

Plus, Davey is making the final decision, because that's the manager's job.

Am I the only one who noticed that we're at five pages and it took the whole game against the Mets to get to five?

Yes, because sitting out in a damp stadium surrounded by tons and tons and tons of people and their many germs and crud for 2-3 hours is equivalent to taking a shower and swimming in a chlorinated pool.

We are at the park. Not raining, but it's quite windy. Bring long sleeves. Tarp is off.

As long as this doesn't negatively affect my weekend against the Marlins I'm good.  8)

Stras can piitch when he wants as long as it allows him to be available the 16th, 17th or 18th.

This thread did seem to be heading toward some sort of record for most pages before first pitch.

I hope he gets his innings in and the game gets called after 4.5, then I can get a refund and see him play on Sunday :woop:
