some love for Patrick Lehman:

Quote
Washington minor-leaguer Patrick Lehman, 25, appears in the top-10 pitching leaderboard for the first time, having recorded six strikeouts and no walks over his last three relief appearances (3.0 IP). Lehman had 45 strikeouts and only four walks in 49.2 innings between High- and Double-A this season. Both StatCorner and Minor League Central indicate that he was able to maintain ground-ball rates of better than 50% at both levels.

Chris Scholl (Angels) might be the worst pitcher in the AFL.

For the love of God, get him out of the game!  He's given up 9 runs and gotten four outs.  Why embarrass him like this? This is sadistic.

Good for him.  Nice to see that after he had several really rough outings earlier in the AFL season.

Purke pitched an inning today, 1H, 1BB, 2Ks, 0 ER.

In the bottom of the 6th, Harper is 1-3 with a run scored and 2Ks.  Walters is 1-3, Norris is off.

This is obviously on the back burner, but Solis is starting, Norris is catching and hitting 4th, Harper is in left and hitting 5th, and Walters is playing 3B and hitting 9th.

Looks like both Harper and Norris have the night off but for some reason Walters is starting at third.  why does it seem that Walters is always playing when he is batting .197 and isn't even that good?
