Okay okay. Grabbing any of those CF'ers would make me excited. Denard Span would be pretty damn awesome because of his contract, like Linty said. I, too, wouldn't give up Desmond and Clip for Span though.

It would be even cooler if we're talking about Bourn AND Pence

You'd have to give up a lot for those two. And what do you propose they do with Morse, Werth and Laroche for 2012 under that scenario?

Trade Deadline brings me back to fantasy baseball drafts. Its just all fun and games to think about crap like that until your GM makes a dumbass trade.

desmond and coffey (or HRod) for span? yes please.

but is span healthy?

i still think they get upton, but damn if span gets a clean bill of health, i'm down with that.

The tweet was saying that the Twins want MORE than a Coffey or Hrod. At least thats how I was reading it.

Span is on rehab at rochester. He went 1 for 12, then 2 for 4 saturday and 0 for 4 Sunday.
