Matt Antonelli 2/2 with a Triple and Single today for the Chiefs. BA up to .333 in 15 ABs.

Would love to see him in the Majors in September.

Detwiler not having a good day.

3IP, 8H, 6R, 6ER, 0BB, 1K

ERA now up to 5.85 for the season.

Too bad Nats never packaged him in a deal before his prospect status ran out.

I've been a big proponent of moving Detwiler to relief since his Potomac days.  Every now and then he will do something or show me something that will make me reconsider that belief for a moment, but in the end I still come to the same conclusion.  Still, I'd let him try to fight through it for another month or so and then would think about moving him to the pen permanently.

Does he have to spend
2012 on Nats roster to keep him? Or is he a Nat now?

It says in the article if they can get him healthy and he spends 60 days on the roster (non-September I'm guessing) then they keep him.

Has to spend something like 1/6 of the season, I believe. I think Adam Stern was in this position for the Sox in 2006.

Offensively, he has very good power but he is inconsistent and strikes out a ton.  He probably won't ever hit for a very good batting average.  Is very athletic and has good speed.  Defensively, he has been around the diamond and now will try to make it at first base (has made 8 errors so far this season).  He is still young at age 22, but has to be put on the 40 man roster after this season.

He used to be an awful hitter too but I saw him in person clobbering the ball

Marrero stretches out and holds the bag for the third out on Balestar's 1-2-3 inning.

Chiefs up 9-1.

Robbie ray only pitched only 2 innings because of a long rain delay.. final line 2IP 0R 0ER 0H 1BB 1K.. He lowers his ERA to 0.47.
