Antonelli promoted to Syracuse, Alex Valdez (who?) sent down to Harrisburg.

Antonelli hit the ball hard when I saw him play in Richmond.

Good for him.

Nats FA signee from last year Rafael Martin finally made an appearance in the Minors. He tossed 1.1 scoreless innings while giving up 3 hits and striking out two for Potomac yesterday.

I have a question for JMU or whomever. Why is Eury Perez still batting 9th despite his .363 OBP and .338 BA? Kobernus' OBP is 100 points lower.

Yunesky Maya again not bad but not spectacular in AAA.

6.1 IP 4 H 3 ER 1 BB 2 K. All 3 runs he gave up were in the first inning.

I am not really sure why he was pulled so early after only throwing 71 pitches. Granted the team was losing 3-2 at the time but he had only put 1 guy on base when they pulled him.

Maya's overall numbers: 51.2 IP 41 H 21 ER 10 BB 38 K (3.66 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 6.62 K/9)

I was thinking the same thing the other night.  Doesn't make much sense to me either, Perez should be batting leadoff.  He slumped for a few weeks, but now he is on fire.  He is something like 14 for his last 25.  Barely ever walks, but still has one of the highest OBP for the team.

Those are pretty good number.  4/1 K/BB ratio looks good to me.

Perez is leading off today with Kobernus hitting 2nd, Hood 3rd, Bloxom clean up and Ramirez 5th.  That's a pretty damn strong 1-5.  Gonna be even better when Harper is bumped up.

I wonder what the MiLB record is for the number of teammates that homered in the same game? I can't imagine many teams have had more than six guys hit one.

such a shame detwiler has regressed so much in his recent starts ...

he's giving up 4 runs already and the chiefs aren't out of the first.

Time to convert him to reliever in an attempt to salvage his career.

Terrible scouting job selecting him by the Nats. He has bad/inconsistent mechanics and a thin frame. Red flags all around
