'fraid I have to undibs the Astros series. It's a grand tradition, but I'm gonna be out of town visiting my best friends from Rice, and although I will probably have the laptop, I won't want to be spending the 30-40 minutes I usually lavish on each of my Gameday threads when I could be doing something sociable like going out for gingerbread pancakes or beer or both simultaneously.

(BTW, the best brisket i've ever had in my life was in this little dive in Kansas City, MO - OMG!!)

That's okay. I can understand two months being not enough time to go to Austin and have breakfast at the Omelettry, home of the best gingerbread pancakes in the explored universe.

Oh, because they've got probably the best I've ever had and it's kinda in a shady neighborhood and pretty small, but it's anything but a dive joint, but if you didn't know who they were, could conceivably think that.  Did it have pictures of presidents and celebrities on the wall?
