DPM = strasburg (not hurt)
HammondsNats = livo

still looking for three other starters ... lots of AAAA fodder last year.

I did actually strain a muscle in my shoulder over the winter.  It's not quite healed yet, but I should be good to go by opening day.  I just hope I'm not closer to Jason Marquis circa 2009...

I'd like to try out in ST. I did alright. I had Stammen v Sanchez twice last year. I think I improved this off season. I added some pitches to my arsenal.

I'd say go for it.  I've tweaked my mechanics last week and am looking to see a bit more of an efficient game day thread experience.

Opening day thread stretched out and in mid-season form and she's a beaut...

Sounds great. You were selected for a reason. Your numbers in ST turned some heads and its seems like you got stronger. Give em hell!

I'm back.

I know I've been AAAA fodder the last couple years... but that's what you're looking for, right?

Either way, I feel a Livo-esque comeback on the horizon.

Were obviously going to have to throw all of our starters out there since you can't rely on any of us.

I was 1-4 on wins but 5-0 on awesome.

My combination of impressive power stuff and poor control dooms me to forever impress scouts with a wicked arm and knockout stuff, but remain curiously ineffective in actual gameplay situations. I am the Henry Rodriguez of gameday threads.

I won't be able to do a Gameday thread until the 19th. :(

...that makes me a hot prospect who's being held in the minors to get another year of control. 8)

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/nationals-watch/2011/apr/9/nationals-vs-todays-starter-lhp-chris-capuano/

This has become a regular feature at the Times' beat writer's blog.  It's pretty interesting - and probably useful info for the gameday thread.  Zim, LaRoche, and Hairston all hit Capuano fairly well - especially Zim.  The entire Mets lineup is 8-46 against Gorzy.  Them's good odds.

Why does it seem like every time I start a GDT it's Livo starting?  I swear it's not on purpose :lol:

Why? You're okay right? No shoulder/arm issues? :pray:

I've had arm issues since middle school, elbow, mostly, actually.  That and I couldn't hit anything off speed.  It's just a busy week for school and I'm in the process of moving...

Rest up when you have the time. We don't need you going into your next game lacking stamina.

I work Mon-Sat, but I'd like to pick up a Sunday game or two this year, if the Powers That Be deem it possible.
