I'm just thinking you've got a guy who's just about a lock for .800+ OPS (30+ 2B, 25 HR) and a significant defensive upgrade.

I'd go 2 years for LaRoche. 1 for any of the others out there (Berkman, Lee, etc.).

Oh...that's right, he wasn't worse than Dunn in the OF. Very few people have been. He's an unknown at 1B. Of course, mentioning someone as an intriguing option means "let's go sign him" to the blithering idiots.
