Willingham, Pudge, and Clippard are the all star candidates so far. Weird.
Capps?

He needs more appearances, but looking good as well. And he has some name recognition. Might as well face the fact that it's going to be Pudge.

Get Zim back in the lineup and he'll be there.  Could have a couple of guys this year, actually.

I don't even think he needs more appearances.  Pure saves will get you in.  Ask Brian Wilson.

I think he has the ML saves lead right now.

Great story about one of my favorite Nationals. I almost died laughing when he went after Pedro with a bat. Good luck, Jose.

There was a vocal minority of Nats fans who were PISSED that we "let" Soriano go without paying megabucks to re-sign him.  You don't hear from any of them now, on this topic at least.

Those cheap assed Lerners if the Nats had resigned him, we could be nagging about his crappy play.

Honestly, who knows how Soriano would've performed here?  I wanted to re-sign him, but it wasn't the end of the world when we let him go and I can see why we didn't give him a mega-deal.  But who knows maybe Soriano would've continued to like playing here and put up good numbers in our line-up.  We'll never know.

That batter was a relief pitcher.  The relief pitcher that that gave up his game winning grand slam LAST NIGHT!.

Yeah, but when and where did Felipe Lopez learn to throw a curve ball?

Can you imagine having Felipe on your fantasy team... and being credited as a winning pitcher?  Thinking of bonuses...

IDK.  Baseball players have a lot of time to fiddle around with junk pitches, even if they're not pitchers.  He probably learned it growing up and probably pitched when he was little.

I doubt it. His curveball was clocked at 62.

This. I can throw a curve and I never pitched a day in my life.

@Khudak: ESPN crew says Felipe Lopez pitched when he was 14 (last time), that he hit 86 mph on the gun and that his arm was sore today.

There should be a farce game in ST where position players pitch and pitchers field.  Give everyone a chance to see what it's like to be in another position.

I'd watch it.
