K-Rod, .313 BAA, has been "otherwise spotless" according to the Mets announcers :hammer:

AG is a terrible baserunner. What does he do well?

maxwell with one of his best swings of the spring, gets robbed by gary matthews junior on a fine diving play in the gap.  and of course alberto gonzalez gets doubled up, d'oh!

If that's one of his best swings, send him to Minor League camp. It looked like a "excuse me" chopper.

He is good at looking lost.

Lucky, lucky Guzman. Nice barehanded snag by Kennedy.

These announcers are horrible. First they say Desmond has played a lot of OF in his minor league career when he has just 1 Inning in the OF in the minors. Then they say that Guzman is valuable because he can play 2B and SS, ignoring the fact that Guzman has never played a regular season game in a position other than SS.

:lmao: Charlie and Dave.  Walla Walla college versus Walla Walla high school, and that's a lot of Walla's.

That's right, Guz. If you can't play SS at least try to kill the opposing pitcher.

Guzman even sucks at that. If you are going to suck, at least rip a line drive off his head so the Nats have a chance at finishing in 4th place

I am shocked that Adam Dunn hasn't hit one homerun this Spring. Guess that is a side effect of not caring about Spring Training.

Adam Kilgore is showing the Braves ahead by one for the other half of the Team.
Marquis had 4 scoreless innings but gave up a run in the 5th

I'll take Marquis and Stammen today for sure.  The rotation is starting to look like it could be solid with room for guys like Wang, Detwiler and SS to force their way in and improve it.  Things trending upward for this team is a really nice change.

Craig Stammen is going to surprise a lot of people this year. 3.96 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 6.1 K/9, 2.8 BB/9

Fun how an elbow works better without bone chips in it.

It works the same with Tommy John surgery, the arm works better with ligament, and ACL injuries, your knees are better off without ACL's (see DeJuan Blair).

The other day Mark Zuckerman said he saw Maxwell make the worst swing of all spring training.

He just made one of the best plays. Diving catch, hit the tip of his glove, he caught up to it, and threw the runner out at 2nd. Really nice.
