0-3 with two k's.  Also committed an error, though, apparently he did make a nice play on a sinking liner the Astros announcers were gushing about.

Bruntlett flies out to finish things off.  Astros win 11-2.

Who knows really, it just sucks that our "revamped bullpen" is doing this poorly in ST against scrubs.  Doesn't instill much confidence going into the regular season with this tough April schedule ahead.

I guess it also depends on one's definition of over.

I certainly wasn't of the opinion that we were going to contend for any titles, but I at least thought that with the Mets being way down this year and a revamped bullpen we should be able to push 75 wins and perhaps not finish in the basement ..................   again ................... but now I'm starting to think that's a pipe dream.

I think over is going like .333 again in April.  It'd be yet another repeat.

Sigh...I'll give them a little more time to start looking better, it's just kind of depressing with all the negativity swirling about. I was sooo looking forward to a 'fresh start' this year, hopefully we can pull our heads out of our ass.

Marquis was AWWWWWFUL today. Fell behind EVERY hitter, got slammed.

The only pitcher who was decent was Atilano. Espinosa looked completely outmatched. Norris had a nice double. Duncan and Maxwell were awful at the dish. Taveras had a nice game.

Why does it say welcome to you are doom? What does that even mean? And why for god sake is doom in quotes?  Is it some sort of ironic doom? Is the wink implied?

I think Nathan is mocking Linty's lack of comprehension.

Killface

Killface (real name Evilyn) is a main character of Frisky Dingo. A muscular, maniacal super-villain, Killface is an alien with pale white skin, red eyes, a skull-like face, and feet resembling huge clawed talons. Killface does not appear to be clothed, nor does he appear to possess genitalia, despite having a son by the name of Simon. He has superhuman healing abilities, having once survived most of his chest being blown away.

Killface has constructed the Annihilatrix, a rocket device designed to propel the Earth directly into the sun. However, having spent twenty billion dollars developing the Annihilatrix, Killface has insufficient funds for a media buy with which to market his global takeover.

I was getting hung up on it as I was reading it.  It didn't seem to flow either way.  Maybe a "media buy" is a term I'm just not up on.  As opposed to a "media by which to....."

Yeah I thought it was media buy as in buying a commercial slot or something.

Definitely "buy" as media is plural. "Medium" is singular.

Ok, gotcha, thanks for the edumucation.  Just hadn't heard the term before.  Companies I have worked for don't do that sort of marketing.

It's a pretty common term during political campaigns.
