3/5 Spring Training Game

Nope sorry, it was Martis/Peralta/Capps. But maybe they should grab Piggly Wiggly applications anyways.

See 5 posts down or so - judging a 40 year old has-been is different than judging a flame-throwing young closer.

He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, with a ton of fly outs. Without Dukes they'd still be in that inning.

Hmm. Gameday must be wrong then. They're saying he had a 3-1 GB/FO rate the last time I checked.

I was shocked when you said Capps because I heard he wasn't so bad yesterday.  I still think he has some value.

Martis and Peralta (and now Batista) can be sent to the asylum with you for your haunted excursion as far as I'm concerned.  In fact, you should push them into the open elevator shaft.

Love me some Maxwell. If only the guy could hit for a bit of an average... he'd be Mike Cameron all over again.

Dukes got two outs in a row, so that's impossible.

So Billy Wagner should apply for a bag checker position at Food Lion?

Thanks, it has been pretty good so far and it will only get better once the weekend starts.

He doesn't have the has-been tag AFAIK

Agree.

Stammen is going to look like a RH Maddux after Batista.

I agree. I like the guy. Just wish that bat would come alive a bit more.

Ya I really like Maxwell, I'm just not sure where he fits at on this team. Unless he has a great spring and Dukes totally tanks I can't see him getting the call to come back up north.

Really? I see Maxwell for a couple reasons.

He's got power, speed and a solid OBP. Also, they're both tall, lanky guys that can really field.

Morgan reminds me of Juan Pierre.

When I think of Cameron I think of a great defender with a solid OBP. When I think of Pierre, i think of a decent defender who relies more on speed than good reads with a decent average and a terrible obp - I could be worng though
