Next thing you know you're going to be labeling players as "winners" and "losers". Please don't go down that road.

No if was really going to go all sportsfan ASSCLOWN on you I'd say something like:

"Typical.  We make that worthless POS Derek Lowe look like Cy Young."     :hang:  :hang:

You can say all you want about how sportsfan ASSCLOWN likes to sensationalize but he's dead on about this statement:

I already know what we have in Batista. He's a bum.

Look at his baseball-reference page and take into account he's a 23 year veteran and already working behind in the count to the first two hitters.  Let the kids work and see what we have.  Batista is a known quantity of SUCK.

Woah... now you are turning into ASSCLOWN. It's the first two hitters of the spring and you've already closed the book?

Sutton already said "Your Washington Nationals" :spaz: and naged about the game that Pudge calls. I guess all the quotes from the players that were all excited, and claiming that he convinced them to sign were just lies.

Wasn't that a big complaint about Pudge though? That his defense is really really overrated? And his CS% stay high because he calls fastball after fastball with men on base to help boost his stats?

The CS% did not play out when someone crunched the numbers. Sounds like a pile of BS.

And the great thing about Batista is that he was a NRI. Rizzo can have his locker cleared before he gets off the mound and it won't cost the Nats anything.

I'm pretty sure that's not what he said, unless you mean close the book on batista.

Well whatever he said... I now agree.

Time for Batista to polish his resume for the grocery bagging line.

Two of the worst innings since Bacsik or Jerome Williams or Shell-of-his-former-self Patterson. Buy that guy a Greyhound ticket.

Should I have waited until the end of the second inning?

Besides, if you check his b-r.com page you'll see he sucked long before the first two innings of today's game.

He still calls a crap game - whether the CS% had anything to do with it or not is immaterial.

score? My boxscore still says 1-0 ATL bot of 2nd, and doesn't appear that Batista is having that bad of a game. Is it behind or something?

That's a different and more qualitative assessment, but the player statements didn't bear that out.

He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, with a ton of fly outs. Without Dukes they'd still be in that inning.

Nope sorry, it was Martis/Peralta/Capps. But maybe they should grab Piggly Wiggly applications anyways.
