That was an inane thing to tweet. He could have said, "I sold him on the Nats as his NL team" or something.

Well we've seen that he isn't the smartest person in baseball, publicity wise.

I don't care if he likes the Yankees though. I just hope that when hes up here he plays with a straight head, doesn't bother anyone in the clubhouse, and performs day in and day out. We'll cross the bridge of signing when it comes.

the guy is a diehard baseball guru.  when he was drafted by the nats someone asked him about him being a yankees fan growing up.  he said he couldn't wait to play them and beat them, now he's a nat.

some people are just so sensitive.

He may be many things, but I wouldn't call him a guru...

He will think twice about playing the Yankees once he enters Yankee Stadium and they boo him mercisely. As long as Nats Park is filled with pro-Harper fans(and it should be if Kasten gets a friggin clue) than he will stay with the Nats.

What? Come on. Really? You really think he's going to let boos affect where he signs? Werth got boo'd here, but he still signed. You really don't think that when the Yankees offer him some absurd amount of money he's going to be like, "No, the fans were mean"

Cliff Lee says hi.
1.  Cliff Lee got traded. He never wanted to leave
2. Yankees fans spit and harassed Cliff's wife
3. He's still getting 24 million a year. LAC, remember?

LAC have to do  with everything

I would love Lee too. But the Phils offered him 24 mil a year to play for a team that will have a chance at 3 or 4 more World Series and do it  in a place he loves.

I want Cliff

yeah and he was right.  there is no way to prove that he would've been this bad with the nats after having solid years the last two.

Dunn always said he didn't want to DH because playing in the field kept him 'in the game" ... probably something to that ...

White Sox have played him plenty at first. Even if he had repeated his best performance here, would you rather have Dunn or Morse?

Oh no, I'm not lamenting the loss of Dunn, just commenting on his lack of productivity. I actually would have been fine with Laroche at first. But yes, I certainly prefer Morse over Dunn

so it's okay to draft and sign your picks, but then let them go?  i think we'd all be pissed if zimmerman(n), strasburg and harper all left.
it depends... Let's take Zimmerman, if the Nats offer him better than fair market value, and he walks to another team that is willing to pay him $30m/season, than I wouldn't blame the Lerners, but.... If the Lerners are counting on a home team discount and Zimm walks, then LAC.
