I'd like to see a slo-mo of it because to me, it looked like he landed on the plate, but it's really hard to tell.

If Bryce's biggest problem is touching home plate, we can work on that

I think he touched home plate after the first jump, like jumped back and got it. After all, dude's got some time to hit it before he gets back to the dugout

Harper 2/2 with 2 Singles, 2 Walks, and 2 SBs so far tonight.

I can't believe he has 26 SBs this season between A and AA.

He needs 3 HR and 4 SB to have a 20/30 season. Who would have ever bet that Harper's 20-30 season would only have 20 HR?

Maybe we should try him back at catcher?

OBP up to .328, .265 / .350 / .559 over his last 10.  Not too shabby.

Hi, my name is Bryce Harper. Not only do I crush home runs but I throw out game tying runs at the plate in the 8th inning.

This is what he practiced in the futures game.  Always thinking ahead.

Bryce Harper has a "significant" hamstring strain. Helped off field. Likely ends his season (bc there's two weeks left.)

Wow , this sucks.

could be a lot worse - anytime you hear of someone getting carried off the field it sounds bad.  that it's not a knee or ankle injury is good news.  I'm guessing he'll be in the AFL?

he's going on the 7 day DL.  Zuck says unless he's ready to play when he comes off it they'll shut him down (only 2 weeks left).  they'll have to activate him before the end of the season if they want him to be eligible to play in the AFL

maybe call up hood for the remaining two weeks?  i highly doubt it, b/c they probably want him to stay comfortable and finish the season in A+.

but that would mean he could be eligible for AFL (and someone else could apply to the exception rule).

A player has to be on a AA roster by August 1st to be eligible for AFL

So Namath's not eligible for the AFL even though he's in the hall of fame?  Unless he's in AA and we just don't know about it.

Ben on MASN just said Harper is likely not coming back to the minors this season, but he'll play in the AFL.
