:wtf: is that all about?
Do not touch Adrian's head.

In Stripes, the original take had Bill Murray rubbing a guy's head, having him go psycho, and having the Sergeant say, "Lighten up, Adrian!"  But Beltre was a completely unknown 3 year old at the time, so they changed it to some guy ranting about touching his "stuff" and a response of "lighten up, Francis."

Other than that, Beltre's a normal guy.

Harper has been pinch hit for once this season and sat out one game of todays doubleheader. Sounds like this has been overblown by the OP. I also feel that if there was any kind of pissy attitude by Harper it would be all over the place.

Mmmmhmmmmm.  And I'm sure all of these numerous sources chose to release to you what would amount to highly sensitive confidential information regarding the top prospect in all of baseball.
No, not all the numerous sources, just two that were at the game....but you just keep looking at him with the aura of the top prospect in all of baseball (which by the way has nothing to do with someone's personal behavior), instead of a young kid who might still have some growing up to do and some adjustments to make.......that's all. Have a great day.....

That is perhaps the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard anyone say and it, of course, proves that you can't possibly have any interaction with anyone who actually knows what they are talking about.  To say that someone throwing numerous fits about playing time in their first year playing professionally would have no impact on their prospect as a status ignores reality to a truly amazing degree.  Character issues have destroyed many a professional sports career because if a person can't function as part of a team they can never be successful in professional team sports regardless of how much talent they have.

I hear they were just resting him second game.  Apparently in the first one - which he played very well - he hit the wall pretty hard, but managed to stay in for a bit.

Don't think anything is serious.

And I love the progression the kid is making.

A reader posted on Zuckerman's blog that Harper just got contacts this week, apparently his vision was pretty bad.

I'll re-quote from Anonymous 8, WHO DID NOT POST A LINK, so take with a grain of salt.  Did anyone else see anything like this?

Quote
“I have been getting work in the batting cage with my dad,” Bryce Harper said. “And I got contacts. I was told my vision is really bad.”

Harper said he wore his new contacts for the first time on Wednesday in the Suns’ 8-3 loss. He got two singles in his first two at-bats and finished 2-for-5 in the game. He is 3-for-7 with a home run and four runs scored since starting to wear them. He is now hitting .261.

“I’m seeing the ball really well now,” Harper said. “I’m seeing the spin and I’m seeing the strings really well. My vision is now in HD.”

If that's the case, he's got super human ability to do what he's done so far in his career, without good eye sight.

Is Harper's plan to still leave us as soon as possible to play for the Yankees? That's how it was back when we drafted him..

If there is such a plan, it is kept secret.

All that I understand. And thank you for your patronage of saying this is the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard anyone say - you must live a sheltered life or be surrounded by people who nod their head alot at whatever you say. Contrary to what you think or believe, I do interact with people who have depth and knowledge in baseball, and this whole issue of a little hissey fit - is no big deal -interesting -but not a trend, so far as I can see.  You are carrying the issue a little too far in my mind, so the question then becomes - are you related to Bryce Harper, a friend of Harper's, a teammate of Harpers, or a coach or a manager of Bryce Harper's.
You have made your point - but I have been on this Board for 3 to 4 years now, and I do have sources and info, that I have shared on this Board before, especially at the Minor League level, which other posters can attest to.
You're probably one of the people who have said in the past -"Well, nobody saw that coming". Reference/Example: Adam Dunn goes to Chicago White Sox -nobody saw that coming; Guzman traded to the Texas Rangers -nobody saw that coming; Morgan goes after the pitcher fist raised - nobody saw that coming; Ryan Z. hit in the back by pitch, by the Braves pitcher - nobody saw that coming. Ahhh Duh....yea alot of hard-core fans saw all those things coming....

Hearing some rumblings from people who have attended the games to see Harper, that he is throwing hissey fits on the bench. And that other players have PH for him, per the coach's discretion. Sounds like it might get interesting or dicey, whichever way you choose to look at it.

I'm going to leave it at that.

I'm going to leave it at that.
And I ask once again - Are you related to Bryce Harper, are you a teammate of Bryce Harper, are you a personal friend of Bryce Harper, or are you a coach or manager (former or current) of Bryce Harper?  Without going into any personal details -is that a Yes or No? Straight-up.

Because, if it is a "Yes", to any of those relationships, then it is a "Spinman scenerio", and your responses are understandable.

CatsEye, I just pointed out your blatant hypocrisy which led you to ask if I am related to Bryce Harper and ask if I could see things that various media outlets speculated about for a long time coming.  You are clearly in desperation mode.  Just admit you have no idea what you are talking about because this is completely unbecoming.  Since it evidently wasn't clear to you before, I am done debating with you because you have left the realm of sanity.

3-3, 2B, HR, 6RBI, BB, they took him out in the 5th inning with the score 15-0

He'll be in Harrisburg very soon.
