I've never really liked Bergmann, but I do think that he could be a serviceable part of our bullpen next year if he is used properly. The stat that really stands out to me is out of 35 runners he has inherited this season, only 4 or 11% of them have scored (league average is 31%). Typically, IR% doesn't mean much with a sample size under 20 IR (see Wells, Kip), but 35 seems to be an adequate sample (10 IS - 54 IR career). What I don't want to see is Bergmann being used in late game, high leverage situations.
