sucks ass this year
This year?  They never should have gone exclusive.  I still remember 2k5 kicking madden's ass plus it was a reasonable price, $20.  $60 for a game where all they basically do is change the roster every year is bs.

Lol, yup. I really wish the EA NHL team did Madden. The NHL game they put out is the best sports game year after year.

2K5 for 20 dollars was a marketing ploy that went terrible. They still were out sold like crazy even though they had a much lower price point.

Fact is, 2K was never going to win that battle... I only wish that they never scooped up the MLB license.

I got that game for 20 bucks, it was actually pretty good :)

So Madden's not that good this year? Hmm

Madden is pretty good in my opinion. I'm having fun with it so far. Although, without playing every EA sports game out there, in my opinion FIFA is the best game EA has.

NCAA Football is a pretty close second, though.

That is until they are allowed to make baseball games. I believe MVP was the best baseball game in 2004-2005. If they were still able to make it I believe it'd be 10x better. for now, FIFA is dominant.

The NHL series is pretty damn good. It has it's fair share of issues, but with EASHL and fun gameplay there's a ton of replay value.

This game is okay, nothing special. I found that relative to the time, I found games like Madden 06 and Madden 09 much more enjoyable. NCAA 11 > Madden 11 for gameplay, and dynasty is leaps and bounds ahead of franchise.

I need a new 360, so I'm going to get one of the new black ones.  There is a $200 one with a 4 gig hard drive and another one with a 250 gig hard drive for $300.  If all I do is play games on it, is 4 gigs enough space for profile information, etc?

Yeah, you just won't be able to download more than one or two demos. There are some pretty big updates, too, sometimes.

Will I be able to attach my old hard drive to the new Xbox?

Your old 360 hard drive? Yeah, I think so. You can also attach an external hard drive if you have one. You just have to format it to FAT32.

Not if you're getting the new slim model.  I'm pretty sure they're different.

Yeah, I just read that you have to get a transfer kit to make it work with the new model. 20 bucks.

Is steam a sub?  Or can I get it for free then buy all the Doom games for $13.50?

It's free, run by Valve (the company that made all the Half Life games).  Install client, buy + download + play games as many times on as many machines as you want.  You have to authenticate via the client to play the games, but that can be fixed easily enough for most games if you actually care.

No, I've heard of it, but never looked into it.  I thought maybe it was a monthly thing you had to pay too.

I know I should be OK with Doom 1, but will I be able to handle Doom 2 on my PC?  :mg:

You might need an extra 4 megabytes of RAM.  That really helped for me on the bigger levels... ;)

I don't think Steam is the same thing.
