I thought that ball was out of the park for sure. Good for Sanchez he had a guy back there that would have run through a wall to make sure he kept that no-no intact.

My point still stands that any bum pitcher can randomly throw a gem.  This doesn't mean that Jonathan Sanchez doesn't suck.

Jason Bergmann and Shairon Martis have thrown gems.  They're having such terrific years as major league starters. :?

5.2 tonight, 1 ER, 4H, 3BB, 3K, at the team with the 4th best average in baseball, 8th in SLG, and 9th in runs.  You picked a lousy night to disrespect Buchholz.

It's definitely outstanding.  You're completely obscuring my point.  Any pitcher can throw a gem - even a no-hitter - and follow it with a lot of really crappy outings.

Jonathan Sanchez's no-no does not absolve him of rightful criticism for being an overall mediocre pitcher, nor does tonight's solid outing by Buchholz.

Martis had a great CG earlier this year.  Look how far that got him.
