I can't hit very well in The Show either.  I even have it set on Rookie with the guess pitch on 1/4 Classic, which shows you exactly where the pitch will go if you guess the correct type.  I always guess fastball so if I'm right, I know where it will be and if I'm wrong, I know to be looking breaking ball.

I get a lot of contact, even before I made it easier, but it always seems to be either a liner right to 2B or SS or an easy fly ball to the outfield.

i've got my pitching on all-star and i get shutouts >50% of the time. my hitting is between pro and all-star and it's hard, might bring it back to pro. ideally, i want to get to hall of fame pitching and all-star hitting.

I think I'm starting to get it.  Tonight's ST game was against NYY.  Craig Stammen starting.  I gave up a run on 3 hits in the first and was about to just quit.  But I got out of the inning with only 1 run.  Joba set me down in order in the bottom of the first.

Bottom of the second I blew it open.  Dunn doubled, Hammer drove him in on a single.  Wooly Harris reached on an error, Hammer to second.

DESMOND homers to left! :woop:

Nieves and Stammen out, but then a Plush double driven in by a Guzman single.  Nats lead 5-1.  They never again in this game lost the lead!

Who is Joel Peralta?  I've been wicked with him in the game.  Got the 2 inning save with him.  I suck with JD Martin though.

Final score:  Washington 7, and New York 4 (yes, I heard the Charlie Slowes voice from JMax's walk off GS at the home closer when he called that exact score :lol:)

I had a glitch last night that essentially froze the game for me in the 8th inning. Very frustrating, losing 8 innings of play. This is the second time it's happened to me.

In my Road to the Show, I started off as a 18-year old Shortstop in AA Harrisburg. I can't hit worth crap, and I was hitting .190 when I got traded to the Red Sox. I hit like .220 with them, and then got traded back to the Nats, lmao.

Ended the year up at .247, now in my 2nd year, I was hitting .280 when the AAA SS got injured and I got called up. Have hit .291 in two weeks of a call up, with 7 doubles. :clap:

The mode is so addicting. I can't wait to start a franchise, though.

Started playing OOTP 8 to see how the series works. I loaded the 2007 rosters to see how well I could do three years ago, and chose as my team the San Francisco Giants. Over the offseason, I traded Barry Bonds to the Angels for Vladimir Guerrero and Kendry Morales, a catching prospect to the Phillies for Greg Dobbs, and a couple of relievers to various teams for prospects, picked up Jorge Cantu off waivers, and dealt a minor league pitcher to Boston for a minor league shortstop, Jed Lowrie.

But maybe most amusing to me was seeing that the computer-managed Washington Nationals traded for Pete Orr.

The Nationals' 2007 opening day lineup, in my game:
Nook Logan CF
Oscar Robles SS
Ryan Zimmerman 3B
Austin Kearns RF
Robert Fick C
George Lombard LF
Pete Orr 2B
Dmitri Young 1B (where he has a perfect defensive rating)
John Patterson SP

Collin Balester has 5-star potential. Oh yeah, and the Florida Marlins signed Roger Clemens.

no, but a guy on Operation Sports is going to have a roster out by Monday/Tuesday that will have him and all the other moves/prospects.

Yea, it's great. His roster has updated prospects/ratings/transactions as well as stances, faces, equipment, etc.

I've been playing the MLB2K demo on XBOX and wow I don't think I could really ever enjoy that game.  Luckily, I also have PS3, so I think I am just going to go for The Show.  I don't really use my PS3 that often, but is it possible to download demos for it as well?  And if so is there a demo of the show available?  I just want to try it out before I sink the money into it.

There is a demo for 09.  I don't know if there is a demo out yet for 10.

I just got home and checked the playstation store.  There is indeed a demo out for the show 10 (as well as 2K10).
