fine. do nothing. make no further attempts to get the middle of the order bat that we need.
go with the first basemen we have. Johnson, Young, Casto.
Tell me where I said we shouldn't try to acquire a middle-of-the-order bat. I'll wait...................................
................you can't find it can you? All I said was that Dunn wasn't the answer.
I don't wanna hear any nagging about the first base play from you two for the entire season.
O.K.
let's just pray that Johnson can stay healthy for once in his life, and that Dukes and Milledge and Zimmerman don't light the entire world on fire. that's what you wanna do, then fine. but if they don't, no nagging about that either.
I've been saying to trade NJ and or Milledge/Dukes if you think you get get value for it. Acquiring Adam Dunn for four years and lots of dough is going to hamper us a lot more than if we can get something for Johnson and Milledge or Dukes. Plus, we always have Willingham to play 1B and he's a better 1B than Dunn is. Again, I'm not opposed to improving the team. I just don't think Adam Dunn improves the team as much as most of you guys here thinks he does.
and I don't wanna hear any Cheap Lerners or "the Lerners aren't willing to improve the team" nagging from you two.
I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever made either of those claims. I don't believe the Lerners are Cheap and I think they will do what they can to improve this team once they learn how baseball ownership works. They're still getting their feet wet.
