Yep, there are a lot of big football fans on the board. I also prefer NFL to any other sport in general but in terms of following my teams I think the Nats are close to my favorite.

again this doesn't belong in this thread, but again this ugly monster has turned many a times ...

My favorite teams (in order)
Terps basketball - Nationals Baseball - Redskins Football - Terps football (although this saturday is absolutely huuuuuge for us) - Good Counsel HS sports - RU sports - Zards basketball - Caps hockey - Orioles baseball

My favorite sports (in order)
NCAA BB - MLB - NFL - NCAA FB - NBA - NHL

This favorite team crap is stupid. There is like 20 threads by Nospin dealing with it in Off-Topic.

So instead....

Mark Teixeira is ten feet tall, weighs two-tons, breathes fire, could eat a hammer and take a shotgun blast standing.

Mine is the Patriots, second Nationals, third Redskins probably.

You forgot the Red Sox (how does someone have more than one favorite team in one sport?).  :?

And here is Tex's

2008 7% 0% 15%
2009 14% 2% 13%
2010 20% 2% 10%
2011 23% 9% 15%
2012 26% 15% 5%
2013 34% 24% 4%
2014 41% 30% 4%

So what I see is that Dunn has more potential but more chance of failure. Tex has peaked but has a good chance of staying where he is. There's a 1/5 chance that either of them will explode or something according to the drop rate.

Dunn won't have more than 300 RBI in the next 5 years. His swing doesn't support a long career.

Teixeira is being interviewed by Erin Andrews on the sidelines of the GT-Miami game.

"I want to go where I can win and my family is happy".

He wants to know by Christmas morning where he is going to be for the rest of his career.

He said the typical crap/lies about wanting to be somewhere comfortable. Which means, he'll play for whichever team will stuff his mattress with the most loot.  :?

Quote
The Suitors Line Up

I spoke today with Scott Boras, who represents Mark Teixeira, the top offensive player on the market -- and indeed, Washington's greatest target in the free agent market. The super-agent was predictably coy about the what's in store for Teixeira, but that's mostly because neither he nor Teixeira really knows yet.

"The one thing I'll say," Boras said, "is that the interest in Mark Teixeira is widespread, and it's something we'll have to narrow here as we work through the process."

One source outside the organization today familiar with those proceedings reiterated that the Nats have indicated extreme interest in Teixeira, who is 28 and a Maryland native. The market for Teixeira hasn't quite taken shape yet, but the Yanks, Red Sox, Orioles, Angels and Nats all figure to be key players. New York and Boston especially have been tight-lipped about their potential pursuits of the first baseman, who could command a contract somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 or so years, $20 million annually.

Teixeira right now is in the process of meeting with owners and exploring his options. The latest rumors have the Angels ready to make an offer of some 8 years, $153 million, which would be the first real step in what could be a long dance.

continue discussion.
