If there's a soul inside the man of Mark Teixeira, he will not go to Nationals. If he signs with the Nats then that confirms that the only concern of Mark's is $$$$$$$, because that is all they have to offer.

I guess that explains their sign everyone to MiL contracts ploy, it's going to be Tex, Dukes, Milledge, Zimmerman, and the quad-A mediocrity patrol over there if this happens.

I think the fact that its down to the Nats, Angels and us (with the possibility only of Yanks and Sox) is much better than anyone thought our position would be when this started.

I don't propose to be an expert on the Nationals... but since I live in the DC area and read and listen to their media I feel I can comment.

The Nationals don't do anything crazy. The Nationals do not have money right now. Their stadium costs are killing themselves and the Learner group is already 100+ Million over what they had hoped for when they bought the franchise. I HIGHLY doubt they will make any drastic offers. the 150-160 Million reported weeks ago is probably as high as they'll go.
