If we can't retain Rendon, then there should be some money to spend on the bullpen. If we do sign Rendon and of course re-work Strasburg, then we probably have little to spend on the bullpen and will try to find gems out of the bargain bin and then make moves at the deadline. It made for a rocky path, but it led to a World Series Championship this year. It's easier to find hidden cheap gems in the bullpen then replacing an Anthony Rendon.
