Also, nothing wrong with an incentive-laden contract, provided that the incentives are fairly realistic. 95 wins is a good goal; it’s lofty but attainable. 115 wins is unattainable. Give him $50k or whatever for every win above 90 or something along those lines
Trying to load up on wins at the tail end of the season is not a good way to get a team prepared for postseason (unless you need those wins for a playoff spot).
