Man, Lo Duca has been impressive both in the field and at the plate tonight. We might be able to get 3 or 4 top-notch prospects for him.

Have we exhausted our quota of runs for tonight?

I'm not impressed with Gomez either. 72 Ks in 283 ABs from a singles hitter? Ouch. They could have gotten much better for Santana.
That was another stupid trade from Bill Smith.  Unless Mulvey, Gomez, and Guerra all hit their ceilings, I don't see them getting equal value.  I have no idea why they didn't try to take a deal from the Angels or Red Sox.

Seriously.  The best option as far as dealing with Lo Duca is to "forget him" at the gas station when the bus leaves.

I thought that ball was going to get deep and score Guzman.

Nice hits by Guz and Dukes. We could really use a hit here.

If we can get someone else to pay Lo Duca the $5 million we're paying, we're ahead.

freak. forget it. 2 nice hits and then Milledge goes up there and weakly grounds out on 1 pitch.

Milledge doesn't have a clutch bone in his body.

Not sure if you guys can see this, but these are the Nats' offensive splits for each pitch count.

We are best when we have favorable counts (just like every other team), but we're not bad at swinging at the first or second pitch either. I think it makes sense to swing early against Slowey b/c he throws A LOT of first pitch strikes.

embarrassing. We have had 2 strikes on Mauer in every freaking AB he has had in this series and our lame pitchers just can never put him away.
