Boone's play did cost us.

I agree, but I also think Lo Duca should've held onto the ball.

Stubborn ass Manny refuses to play the best 3rd baseman (Casto) on the team at Third. I thought Casto looked very solid in the few games he started at 3B when he first got called up.

I think sportsfan has become inordinately obsessed with hitters taking pitches for the sake of having good at bats.

There are a lot of things that go into whether a batter should swing early.  On the whole, I'm against it but the determination should be a part of the offensive "game plan".  Unfortunately, I don't think we ever have an offensive game plan.  More often than not, it appears to be every man for himself, at the plate for our offense.

See, the Twins make the opposing pitcher work. I wish we were as patient as them. 26 pitch inning.

Slowey doesn't walk many hitters. There are different game plans for each pitcher.

We're screwed. This might mean Bergmann will have a good outing tonight since we won't hit for crap.  :?

I'm grateful Guzman broke up the no hitter early.

At least Lo Duca worked the count. Too bad he has swings at everything. That's the reason he never strikes out.

Bergmann has thrown the same amount of pitches (26) in 1 inning that Slowey has thrown in 2 innings.

Mix Lo Duca's contact skills and Dukes' power together and you've got one hell of a hitter.

Where is Dukes power?  It has been non-existent.

It's because he doesn't make good contact.

WTF Lo Duca? Routine play for Lopez and he jumps in front of him. Our defense which was once a strength is now a disaster.

Delmon Young would fit in nicely here. He is first pitch swinging at least 50% of the time.

Damn it! What a throw by Dukes, though.
