Is this team going to cut our hearts out again tonight!
I hope not. I could take a blowout loss but if we lose this one after coming back from a 6-run deficit I will cry.  :'(

wtf, why are we awesome in the essence of not progressing us to a playoff race? Next season better look like this every game lol.

i know you guys are gonna rip me apart, BUT...do you think Dukes altercation with Pelfrey maybe, possibly, ignited the team?

i would really like to hear your opinions on my view.

My favorite thread/post:

My god will somebody club Heilman in the head

Heiman has to be one of the worse relief pitchers in baseball. Another game same result. I f#cking h#te that piece of sh#t. I hope he gets hit by a car.

sounds like this board!

Maybe Pelfrey just shat himself after Dukes stared him down and gave us the runs so he wont get cut after the game?

/sarcasm

I dunno sure you can say that, since luckily he was the one to start it up. If Casto started it up and i was a fanboy of him i could be saying the same thing.

Nasty curve.

Hinckley's first 6 Major league Appearances: 6.1 IP 2 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 5 K.

It's not like he's pitching in a bunch of blow-out games either. Manny's throwing him right into the fire.

without a doubt AZ.  They showed some fire, showed some life.  And if you're a ballplayer if someone goes after your guy, you have to stick up for him and make that team pay.

And if I get time tonight, I'm going to go to the archives and look for my post months ago saying let's call up Mike Hinckley and see what our former #1 prospect could do for us (after all we had Manning).  I should be a GM.

You also think Balester should be ahead of Lannan in the rotation next year.

I'm sure Acta will have a sit down talk with Dukes about the incident tonight though. Hopefully it will be a learning experience.

ronnynat, sportsfan is going to love part of what you posted in that new thread but he's also going to hate some parts.

And if we're going to give Speigner a chance, why not Mike Hinckley?!?!  3.38 ERA in 18.2 IP.  He comes out of the pen as the lefty guy.

Quote from: sportsfan882 on August 19, 2008, 10:35:20 PM »
His numbers aren't nearly as good as Speigner's. He has allowed 12 walks and 18 hits in 18.2 IP.

Over his last 10 outings: 8 IP 8 H 5 R 5 ER 7 BB 4 K.

absolute BULLET blazed by Dukes. that's what i call a "look what i found" catch where the balls just luckily finds the glove.

There's a reason why you don't see people quoting their own posts very much. Trust me, we're all right once in a while.
