My point is that now that Hill will surely be gone and Perez WILL get traded that we can't also get rid of Redding. I don't understand the obsession with having all our minor leaguers here ASAP.
Why not? We are 20 games under .500 and it's mid-June. Let's go with a full-fledged youth movement.

Priceless, the team bombs the game and the guy that hits a home run is Wily Mo.

Many think that Balester will make his ML debut next Monday in Miami.

What makes you think that?  I wish it was Sunday in front of a Nats home crowd.

Nice jack by WMP. He dogged the ball. But it's still meaningless :?

Too bad it happened after the bad guys scored 8.  :(

Does Hill have options left?

I think this is more than likely what will happen. This will push Bergmann's start one day and he will start in Miami.

If they put Balester in Hill's spot in the rotation it would be next Monday in Miami. Bergmann's turn is on Sunday.

See, even though I might follow the minor leagues closely, I dont understand this obsession either.  Calling all these guys up is just going to give us three more Reddings eventually.  Not to mention, you have to rush the development of three more guys at the lower levels to fill the guy's spots at Columbus that you call up.

I suppose. It might be better to have him start on the road though, less pressure. Although the Marlins will beat the hell out of him. Going against the O's may be better for his confidence.

Thats just disgusting, third time this season Hill has had to be pulled before the 5th.  He hasnt made it past the fifth in his last three starts, no justification for keeping him on the roster.

Angels can't be "bad guys" ...unless they're from Anaheim and LIE, telling people they're from Los Angeles...  Never mind.

It is IMPERATIVE that Hill either be DL' d to get his arm straight, or DFA'd to get his control straight. As had been stated, Balester is on the same schedule and I believe is 3-0 with a sub-3 ERA this month.

I think being at home may be better for him because he can have more support. Of course it's feasible to have a home crowd in Miami since they have plenty of seats available.

Veterans, Rookies, I don't care who is up here.  Anyone is a better option than what the hell we have to offer.

Why not sign Aaron Crow and stick him in the rotation right now?  Hey let's call up Stephen King to start at 2nd base.  Michael Burgess, you may strike out a lot, but so does WMP and at least you can hit a homer.

Your not a fan if you are not tired of this pathetic sh!t.  Most of us have wasted too much money and effort caring about this team.

Rushed development? These guys are not being rushed AT ALL. Clippard has made 8 big league starts and has been in AAA for the last 2 seasons.

Mock is 25 years old. He's pitched excellent in AAA this season. He deserves to be pitching up here.

Balester has thrown 117+ IP in AAA ball over the last two seasons. He's younger than the other two but it's not like he is being rushed through the system either.

Not to jinx him, he's 3ip, 3 h, 0 r, 0 bb, 1 k.  Hopefully he keeps it up and we make the move.

And you know what, he may get shelled in his debut and his first couple starts.  But at least he wants to be out there.  One of his biggest strengths for Balester is his passion for competing (so says the scouts/teammates/etc).

And while we're on the subject of the youth movement, let's call up Scott the PBP guy in AAA-Columbus.  He's much better than Bob Carpenter.

notice the rushed development part referred to lower class guys
