You just don't get any luckier than that sequence.

It must be our night. Offensively, they're just as bad as we are.

I bet the Mariners boards are going nuclear. But we got saved from a meltdown and Clippard got the break he deserved after battling so well out there.

Tyler Clippard did a decent job tonight. Didn't strike people out - 3 BB, 2 K's - but he gave us six solid innings and kept the scoring down. Let's give him a nice win to take home for it - and hope he'll fare well when he plays a team better than Seattle.

They probably don't even have game threads.

Yep.  Somewhere out west, SeattleSportsFan is posting "Die in a fire!!!  We are going to lose a series to the Washington ****ing Nationals!!!"

Seems like there's only one guy on the Mariners forum ... and he's a Nationals fan.

He has definitely got the most run support (by far) out of all our starters. I envision a similar result for tomorrow's game. Redding will probably give up 3 or 4 runs but we should score 6 or 7 off of Washburn.

So can someone tell me what actually happened on the DP?  I missed it, but I heard Bob calling it like he couldn't believe what had happened.

freak them. They've ousted us from the NFL playoffs twice in 3 years.

Is this the same Arthur Rhodes that played with the Orioles for all those years?

OMG! Found another Mariners forum!!!!

Quote
This team makes me sick to my stomach. I done for now. The most pathetic thing I have ever seen in pro sports bar none.....2008 Mariners. No heart, no guts, no character, no class (quiting like this isn't classy), no leadership, no clue and no wins.

If we lose this game tonite, of which i see NO reason to suggest that we won't.....i am officially NOT watching any more games live. I've seriously, had it with this bunch of guys who go out of their way to find ways to lose!
