I hate all those damn sinkerballers they have in their pen.

Big inning for Ayala here. He really needs to bounce back and have a good outing.

Big Jon isn't coming in this inning, is he?

No, but I meant when we do know he's coming in.

They were saying before the game that the setup role is there for Hanrahan's taking.

Here is something to consider, we should probably look to move Perez and Bergmann. I really don't think Bergmann has a future here so why not try to get something for him? In the meantime maybe we can give Clippard and another youngster a shot to pitch here in their stead.

Why is Harris in left as opposed to Langerhans who pinch ran last inning for WMP. That doesn't make much sense to burn a guy just for the hell of it.

That's frightening.

I'd like that. Maybe Balester will make his long awaited debut although I wouldn't mind seeing Mock again.

At some point in September we could see both of them.

I could not agree more.  I think Bergmann has been overhyped by the coaching staff.  Sure he had a couple good outings in a row during May, but does that make him a good pitcher?  In my opinion he just got lucky and I would say that he really has only had 1 or 2 "good" outings this season compared to many horrible ones.

Lannan-Hill-Clippard-Mock-Balester would be a fun rotation to watch over the last month or so of the season.

And if they want to preserve their arms just go with a 6 man rotation, that could also help preserve Hill.

Ayala has been hit or miss. Glad tonight he was hit. Let's hope Rauch isn't the one off tonight.

Not that I'm complaining but Colome is the only pitcher I know that gets paid to warm up in the bullpen  :?

That ought to free up some space at Columbus for Alaniz to show what he can do

We really have no other options unfortunately. Schroder is pitching alright in AAA but I've soured a little on him this season.

But my point is that he seldom comes into games (which is good) so he collects a salary for warming up. That's a sweet gig.

Yep. He's making a nice cool $1.25 Mil.
