Impressive start by Jeff Mandel in Potomac: 7.2 IP 4 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 4 K.

Potomac sweeps the road series in Kinston in dominating fashion by outscoring them 31-18 in the 3-game series.

Milone had another solid outing for Hagerstown. He went 6.0 IP, allowing 4 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 2. Milone has shown that control is his major strength, as he has only walked 6 batters in 42+ innings of work.

Rhinehart homered for Harrisburg tonight, although his struggles seem to be continuing. Rhinehart is batting under .150 in his last 10 games and is struggling with strikeouts.

Catcher Sean Rooney (22) with a 5-hit game for Hagerstown tonight: 5/5 2 Doubles, Run.

Espinosa went 2/3 with an RBI and 2 walks tonight in Vermont. 7/9 with 3 Walks to 0 Ks so far for Danny in his pro career.

The pickoff and caught stealing were on the same play. He got picked off 1B and then tagged out heading to 2B, thus the CS.

They really do intend on bringing up JZ in September it appears. They limited him to 4 innings in his start tonight for Harrisburg: 4 IP 3 H 1 R 1 ER 3 BB 4 K. Each of his last 4 starts has been cut short.

Well since it's over for Colton let's sum-it up. He had a 3.70 ERA through 109.1 IP, allowed 103 hits , 60 K, and walked 31. An all-round solid year form the 20 year-old who should be ready for Potomac come ST 2009.

Espinosa is sickkkkkkkkkk. He's 9/11 with 4 walks to 0 Ks so far with Vermont. I bet he is offended that they put him in Short Season Low A Ball. Promote him to HTown or Potomac!

I'd rather him dominate in Vermont for another week before we see him in Hagerstown. I am very excited about him, especially after I heard that he actually LEARNS from his mistakes and is a smart ball-player.

What else does it take for the dude to get the call?

Great game for Bernadina today: 3/4 Double, HR, RBI, 2 Runs. His BA is up to .340.

Alberto Gonzalez went 1/3 with a single.

Kory Casto hit a Grand Slam and Dukes walked twice and scored a run in 3 plate appearances.

Despite all that Columbus still lost because Ryan Wagner is a bum. His line: 2 IP 4 H 3 R 2 ER 0 BB 4 K (Blown Save, Loss). Wagner's ERA is up to 7.04 with Columbus.

Too bad crappy ass Adam Carr blew the save and took the loss: 1.1 IP 5 H 3 R 3 ER 0 BB 3 K 1 HR. His ERA is up to 6.61.

JMU, do you believe me about Beno's control issues yet?

His outing today for the P-Nats: 0.0 IP 0 H 3 R 3 ER 4 BB 0 K. He's walked 44 batters in 28.1 IP with Potomac this season.

It was so bad for Potomac today that they had to use 3B-man Trever Lawhorn to pitch 1/3 of an inning.
