Ryan Church just allowed an inside-the-park home run...
Livo pitched a complete game tonight against the Sox. 9 IP 9 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB 3 SO
Nice job by the Royals signing Jose Guillen for $12M per year. He's currently hitting .189.
Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Wilkerson was acquired by the Blue Jays today. I'm not sure how much playing time he'll get, though, because they also just got Kevin Mench.
He wouldn't have played like that here and you know it. The only question that matters anymore is "why?"
Church certainly isn't the first to leave this franchise and put up better numbers elsewhere.
Who are all these players?
Church and Schneider are doing more for the Mets in these first two months than they did pretty much the whole time they played for us. Jamie Carroll had a spectacular year for the Rox before disappearing somewhere. Brendan Harris has nearly improved his stats every year since leaving DC. Daryle Ward. Livan Hernandez is still alive somehow. Dare I say Alfonso Soriano?I'm not saying these guys have all become all-stars, I'm just saying there is noticeable improvements in their game that they certainly weren't getting here.
Are you serious? Jamey Carroll? Brendan Harris? Darryl Ward? Soriano is at least a real player but he isn't any better than he was with the Nats. And You hate Livan so shutup your mouth about him.
Sorry to answer your question, Blue911. It will be a mistake I never do again.
Subs and role players aren't a real testimony to improvement. Basically the Nats have always had crap and Church is the first decent player we've traded.
Schneider is still crap and getting lucky hits. As of a week ago, no XB hits. NONE! 0! Flores has 7 doubles already!
But that bum got one on us
Brad Wilkerson hit a grand slam in the first inning today to help the Blue Jays beat the KC Royals 6-0. Good for him.
