Nicest gets a helium smiley face balloon.

Most spelling challenge receives a dictionary.  :icon_mrgreen:

Most time spent on board: Washington Post Weekender section Events Schedule

Geezer:  Bottle of Glucosamine/Controidan (sp)
gotta keep those joints loose!

Funniest:  kid's book of knock knock jokes

ROY:  sippy cup

MVP:  A used nice award of any type

Those are my "tongue in cheek" initial goofy thoughts.

Cough, cough? Gee, when I ask a patient to do that, it's a hernia I'm looking for , and more in Geezers than Geezerettes!

It shouldn't be looked upon as a geezer award. Personally I see it as a way to recognize and honor all our contributors.

You're quite right Spider, as are all of the awards (well, maybe not "craziest").

When does the actual voting, not nominating, start and when does it end?

My daughter's swimming coach hands out a "Potato(e) Head" award at the end of each season - winner gets a real potato.

Vinnie, sorry we didn't hook up last week, but it's all Shoeshineboy's fault.  I'm pretty sure I saw him sitting in his usual spot kind of early (Teddy bobblehead day) but when we headed over to visit later, he was nowhere to be found.  I looked around for some great, black, glossy locks but didn't see any that met the expectation.  Maybe next time.

I was wondering if you tried to come by. Must have been one of the rare breaks from the seats.

I think think nutsfornats gets a category of his own, something like most cryptic NFN post or most classic NFN post.

Excellent!  I guess you have to be VP to earn a potatoe?

When does the actual voting, not nominating, start and when does it end?

I was thinking the voting could start after the last game, but whenever works. It'd be great if we got at least 3 nominees for each award before voting.

If anyone just wants to nominate just one poster/thread for anything, that'd be cool. It is a bit time consuming to do them all.

LOL..I don't think Soxfan is here enough to have a shot, but both are good ones.

We need some more nominees for ALL of the awards!

You know what I had totally forgotten about those avis! Those were pretty funny but it's difficult for you to be up for a nomination when currently you aren't sporting an avatar. Who do you think you are, PC?

You should bring one of those babies back too remind the posters of them and someone will probably nominate you.

I don't like annual Forum awards, but some of the threads that got referenced were really good.  I never would have seen them.

MVP: Should include Kenz aFan for the WNFF Toolbar alone.  Although I never downloaded it, I bookmarked some of the links as Favorites.

Thread of the Year: What Do You Do for a Living (read over 2070 times)
http://www.wnff.net/index.php/topic,159.0.html

Nicest Poster: Should include ronnynat

Most Classic Quote: Senators2005: "wonder how many of those fans paid outrageous money for these seats prior to knowing that 756 was hit in yesterdays game.   <laughing>"

Most Informative: Senators2005 (before he went Missing in Action).  He was the source for a lot of news around the league.  (Will somebody TELL Sens' that he's winning the Forum Head-2-Head Playoff week, and that he could be in the final next week - even though he became a QUITTER, and stopped managing his team!!!!)

(I think 2k6000nats should file an age discrimination suit for the age-related categories.) Just take the age numbers out.  Otherwise put iluvryanzimmerman in the Youngin' Award.  We recently learned that she's only 14.  Her posts are like reading a 14-year-old's personal diary... that is being written in a padded room.

Angriest Poster ought to include thunderstrucknats, since she quit posting, (although I have seen her logged in reading stuff since then.)  People were afraid of her.

Best Argument/Debate Thread: Nats looking at Elijah Dukes
http://www.wnff.net/index.php/topic,3917.0.html

You ought to have a Mozt Create Tiv Spellar Aword.  I think metssuck, iluvryanzimmerman, and EricasNats cud winn uh threee-wey tye.

Hey little baby, how about I babysit you for a week or two?
