Awesome ... fantastic job by the hitters - patient - taking pitches - grooving the meatballs - fantastic effort so far ...

Agreed, a nice, patient approach, but just wail (wale?  whale?) on the muthu if he hangs it over the plate.

I love Arroyo, he's throwing batting practice up there.
yeah, sure hope he doesn't throw like that at GAB...or he won't be in the majors much longer.   :icon_mrgreen:

Ryan Church is swinging too much, too early, in this series.

Didn't Arroyo last four innings in his last start against the Nats?

fantastic ! other than Zimm and Dmitri this inning. just no excuse for a major league player not to be able to purposely ground out to the right side of the infield.

It also depends on the way they pitch you.

Come on man, He had an RBI in 3 consecutive ABs prior to this AB.

Now it would nice to see Lannan get over his sense that he doesn't belong here, and make his pitches.  He's pitching scared, nibbling and avoiding the plate.

Maybe we traded Speigner to the Reds and he's wearing Arroyo's jersey  ;)

Maybe Kearns and Lopez provided our lineup with some 411 on how to read Arroyo's delivery.

He's also swinging at the first pitch, everytime he comes to bat and he's come up with air, everytime.

Thanks, it's one of those colloquialisms that I'm not sure exactly how to deal with.  Sort of like wailing and gnashing, I guess.

Radio guys were saying that they think that arroyo was tipping his pitches - the hitters did seem to just sit back and wait for what they wanted ....

Maybe Lannan just needs to drill somebody before he gets comfortable.

Hey, Lannan just hit a ghost batter on the right side!  A kinder, gentler way, I guess.
