I hate to keep saying it but lefties tend to lose their release point at some juncture of almost every game they pitch.

His "fast ball" is terrible tonight.

I'll bet John doesn't have one strike called on his fast ball tonight.

I thought a couple of those pitches looked pretty darn good - what happened to the ump speeding up this game??

It's a good thing the bats came alive tonight because Lannan is all over the place.

I posted this before but it's worth bringing up again.

All of our pitchers seem to hit the wall at about the sixth inning and it doesn't matter what the pitch count is.  We can never get a pitcher to the eighth inning and certainly not the ninth.  I was just thinking that maybe it's fitness.  Maybe our pitchers need better fitness to get them past the 2 hour point on a hot summer night?

That's very possible but I also believe this problem is widespread which leads me to think it's the stupid pitch counts and the so called 'quality start' that brings the mentality that 6 innings is all they need to pitch to be considered quality starters and make tons of money. All the guys that pitch deep into games are bona fide stud competitors. In my book anything less than 6 innings is a failure.

Way to go Schroder.

That's decent that Kevin Blackinstone from Around the Horn is watching the game tonight.
