Chico hasn't won a game since July 4 against the Astros. In his last start, Chico lasted 4 2/3 innings and gave up four runs on six hits against the Phillies. He didn't figure in the decision, as the Nationals lost the game, 7-5, in 14 innings.

Looks like a winning line up tonight. Don't hate me for saying this, but let's hope our pitcher can get past having broken a bone in the hand of Chase Utley. Let's hope that he can get past it, that it won't affect his play and that he won't injure anybody else, heehee.

*Sigh* back to Gameday. Also, I love how a crappy starter (Lohse) was replaced by a guy who seems to be doing well.

It's Chico in the nine spot, not Lannan.

Adam Dunn was very untypically Adam Dunn right there.

What? By walking? He's got like 60 of them already. The Dunn-style single is a walk

That was two innings worth of pitches for Chico.

No, by not striking out.  There were lots of pitches there he should have struck out on.

No, by not striking out.

Dude, he has 3 modes - homerun mode, strikeout mode, and walk mode. See Cust, Jack. None of the 3 is surprising.

When you add the walks and HR's together, with the occasional double - you get a sick OBP. SIGN HIM!!!! I hope he passes waivers for the old Bowden August trade.

I think everyone agrees the OBP is good - we were just commenting on how his walk was not a surprise ... I doubt he would clear waivers though ...
